Dr. 迈克尔·J. 麦克多诺
A native of Preston in Northwest England, Dr. 迈克尔·J. 麦克多诺 now resides in Hunterdon County with his wife, 孩子们, and three dogs (Jersey Girl, 昆西, 和Ponyboy). The father of three and Buffalo Bills fan is an aficionado of golf, reading, travel, and theatre. He’s also a trivia buff and has a passion for classic rock, especially from the 1960s and ‛70s.
Dr. 迈克尔·J. 麦克多诺 is Raritan Valley 社区 大学’s eighth president. He has served in that role since June 2014. Prior to joining 十大堵博正规首页歡迎您, 麦克多诺 served as provost and vice president of academic services at Monroe 社区 大学 in Rochester, NY (2011-2014); as dean of Liberal 艺术 at Monroe 社区 大学 (2007-2011); and as professor of 英语 at Alfred University in Alfred, NY (1987-2007). He also has taught at Pennsylvania State University and Oklahoma State University.
麦克多诺 holds leadership positions in a number of academic organizations, both on the national and state level. These include the 大学 Board, as a member of the 校董会 and as the chair of the 学术 Assembly Council; American Association of 社区 大学s, member of the Commission on Re搜索, 技术 & Emerging Trends; New Jersey Presidents’ Council, member of the 学术 Issues and Transfer committees; and New Jersey Council of County 大学s, member of the Course Review Committee and as vice chair of the NJCC Consortium for Workforce and Economic Development.
麦克多诺 received his B.A. in Film and Drama and a Post Graduate Certification of 教育 from Reading University in England; an M.A. in 英语 from Oklahoma State University; a Ph.D. in 英语 from Pennsylvania State University; and an I.E.M. from Harvard University’s Graduate School of 教育.
